More than 100 Knox College student-athletes were named to the Midwest Conference's Academic All-Conference list for the 2016-17 academic year and athletic season. The criteria to become an Academic All-Conference selection includes a minimum grade point average (GPA) of 3.33, which is calculated only in the awarded academic year. First-year students, sophomores, juniors, and seniors who letter in any of the MWC's fall, winter or spring sports are eligible for the award. Several of the honorees were recognized for the academic achievements while playing more than one sport.
Ohio Wesleyan University held its 173rd commencement ceremony on May 13, 2017. The OWU Class of 2017 included 383 spring, summer, and fall graduates, with students representing 20 countries from Afghanistan to Venezuela. Almost 40 Knox College students were elected recently to Phi Beta Kappa, the nation's most prestigious academic honor society. Knox's chapter is the fourth oldest in Illinois and the first at an exclusively undergraduate, four-year liberal arts college in the state.

The 10-week program offers students the opportunity to work with faculty and staff mentors and gain business advice while developing digital products fit for the marketplace.

The purpose of this sorority is to assemble the women of Carthage College in the spirit of service to humanity. It serves to develop friendship among women of all races and creeds. Through Pi Delta Chi women have the opportunity to serve the community in various ways. 10 service hours are required each semester for membership.
Student Government Association is an organization committed to serving the Carthage student body. Delegates are devoted to improving campus life for the entire community and work closely with the Office of Student Life and the Office of the President to achieve this goal.
